Dearly loved husband of Kaye, loved and respected father and father-in-law of Mark and Lyndie (Upper Hutt), Janette and Jim Borthwick, Robyn and Rinus Valks, and Greg and Christina, loved grandad of his 15 grandchildren and 1½ great-grandchildren. Loved son of the late Maisie and Jim Marinan (Blackball), and brother of Bernice Coates (deceased), and Gary Marinan. Special thanks to Dr Paul O’Gorman, Nurse Margaret Foreman, the Renal Department, Home Dialysis Centre, staff at Christchurch Hospital and the staff of Nurse Maude for their dedicated care over 14 years. In lieu of flowers donations to the Christchurch Kidney Society would be appreciated and may be made at the service.
