---------------
You seem to be a cousin ! Hello.
There is a Baptism which shows for Samuel Finlay , son of Samuel a Weaver, & Ann Finlay, baptised December 1843, Tullylish Parish.
The Researcher notes that the Minister at the time seems to have forgotten the name 2X of Samuels wife.
She was also noted as ? Allick.
It is sure to be Elleanor, as the names & ages of the children all fit , for their emmigration to N.Z.
We also know that Samuel senior died in Ashburton.
If you get back to me off site, & send me your snail mail address, I can post you the research done in Ireland by the Ulster Historical Foundation, that I had done some years ago.
If this is the family, there are many who are researching them. Isnt this exciting ?
Elleanor is buried CHCH, N.Z., but plot unknown.
Mary
