    • A Judge in Aug 1938 ordered that no business should sell liquor to Leo for 1 year.

      Enlisted in WWII in 1939 seeing overseas action

      Was court-martialed in 1941

      1944 was a soldier attached to 106 AGH (hospital) as an orderly

      Lost a leg in a mining accident at the Mungana Mine, Northern Queensland, Australia, in 1947

      Couldn't support himself so turned to petty crime. Was convicted in 1948 of stealing 8 Pounds.

      1952 convicted of drunkenness
      1953 more drunkenness and general nuisance

      One 1953 newspaper article said he had 65 convictions in NSW, VIC and QLD.
