  		IMG_20220929_135353 Dad and his mother Edith. All returned servicemen were given two free rail tickets. They could travel anywhere in New Zealand. Dad took his mother Edith on holiday and this photo was taken somewhere along the way. He said his mates ribbed him about taking his mother but he didn't care. His father had died while he was away at war and his mother died in 1947, not that long after.
