  It is with sadness we acknowledge the passing of retired Deputy Chief Fire Officer Maurice Eilken. Maurice was a founding member of the Lincoln Volunteer Fire Brigade and served as Deputy from 1963 till his retirement in 1990, he was awarded the United Fire Brigades Association Gold Star Medal for 25 years service and Life honorary membership to the Lincoln Brigade. Maurice's 27 year contribution to the Brigade built the foundations to the great organisation we have today, something the members and community can be very proud of.
