    • It is possible that the Grimshaws moved around Lancashire. Rose Hannah, and a possible brother Edmund, were baptised at St James Church, Accrington. Afterwards there are 3 possible sisters baptised in Disley, which is some way to the south of Manchester. The connection is that on the 1871 census Rosanna's birthplace is also given as Disley. It is possible that Rosanna did not know exactly where she was born. On other censuses her birthplace is given as Chorley.

      It is my belief that the Grimshaw family then moved to Eccles, where Rosanna married Samuel Trevitt in 1821. There are also possible marriages for two sisters here as well, although I think other Grimshaws lived in Eccles. Eccles was the location for Rosanna's granddaughter Elizabeth Ann Henshall's second marriage to William Howard in 1894.
