      Thank you for your email. In answer to your question. James Stark would have organised Christina’s funeral. The records are very brief. She died at her residence 21 Law Street, Caversham, and her funeral was at the residence.

      Her ashes as with James were placed in the niche wall at the old Dunedin Crematorium Chapel. When they rebuilt the crematorium chapel all the relatives were contacted and if there was no response all remaining ashes were placed in the lawn at the Court of Reflection at the Andersons Bay Crematorium.

      Hugh Gourley funeral directors was taken over by Gillions and Sons. Their telephone number is 03 4552128. They should still all the records for the above firm.

      Our records show that Christina was born in Macandrew Bay. Her father was Donald McAskill (I think. I can’t read the writing) and mother Isabella (nee Robertson).

      She was married in Gore at age 23. She had 4 sons, and 6 daughters. They were not mentioned in the death notice.
