      Fleming Laurenson married to Elizabeth Samuelson Laurenson in 1831 in Tingwall and was in the census of 1841 as living in Scalloway, Tingwall. In 1851 he is listed as living at Uphouse Bressay and in 1861 is listed as the Keeper of the Prison in Fort Charlotte, Lerwick. Elizabeth is listed as the Matron. In 1871 they were still at Fort Charlotte.
