Erected by Drummond Pringle in memory of his wife Janet Sommerville who died 5th May 1899 aged 68 years. The above Drummond Pringle died 31st May 1901 aged 78 years. William Pringle died 1st September 1927 aged 67 years. Sommerville Pringle died in infancy. Killed in action in France Private William Pringle 8th H.L.I. 11th March 1915 aged 18 years. Tpr Alex B. Pringle L. I. Y. 16th October 1916 aged 21 years. 2nd Lieutenant, Robert G. Pringle 8th H. L. I. 23rd April 1917 aged 25 years.
