David was born 14 Apr 1850 in Ashford on the Water, in Derbyshire. He would have been only 6 when the family traveled to New Zealand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

David remained his entire life in New Zealand in Christchurch and worked as a Gardener.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He married Esther “Hester” Elllis in 1886. There were no children from that union, but Hester came with one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

David passed away in 20 Jun 1919 and is laid to rest in Linwood Cemetery, Christchurch, next to his wife. There is no grave stone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

David Hamilton seemingly inherited “the Grange” property at New Brighton, and the estate is seen selling it below in 1921. DWH senior died in 1887, so assume this article is about the estate of DWH junior, who passed away in 1919.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
