In her youth, Doris attended Gore Main School. Family oral history suggests Doris was a good athlete in her younger days, while being a quiet and retiring person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At varying times through her life, she can be seen working as a Factory Worker and Laundress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 1944, Doris married John Neil Kroon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As far as I can ascertain, based on John’s Probate, there was only 1 child from the union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
John died at Dunedin 1991 and his remains were cremated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Doris passed away in 17 Jun 1988\u00a0at\u00a0Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand. She was cremated at Andersons Bay Crematorium and her ashes scattered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
