Arthur was born on the\u00a023 Jul 1894\u00a0at\u00a0Gore, Southland, New Zealand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sadly, there is little detail on Arthur’s life. His birth certificate does not contain a father’s name, but we can assume that his mother and her parents looked after him. Arthur’s grandfather handled the details around the funeral and so on. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arthur’s mother married John McKinnell in 1995. However, Arthur attended Gore Main School alongside his Stark family, and James Stark, his grandfather, is shown as guardian in school records and not McKinnell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sadly, Arthur passed away on the 3 Oct 1904 at\u00a0Gore, Southland, New Zealand. I am uncertain of the cause of death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arthur is buried at Mataura Cemetery in an unmarked grave alongside his Uncle John Thompson Stark (died 1887) in the following plot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
