Johanna was born at Tingwall on the 18 September 1849. She was the eight child and fourth daughter of Fleming and Elizabeth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the 16 June 1881 at Barnet in London, Johanna married William Dickson. William was an accountant and had trained in Lerwick prior to marriage. Together Johanna and William had the following children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sadly, William passed away on the 28 February 1890, leaving Johanna with 3 small children to parent alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later in life, she would take on the house that her brother Gilbert had occupied for many years at 153A Mayfield Road, Edinburgh. She would end her days there 16 years later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Johanna passed away on the 26 January 1931 at Edinburgh, Scotland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
