Arthur was born on the  4 November 1854 at Lerwick, Shetland, Scotland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At some point in his eighth year, he contracted a fever that he could not overcome. The fever took his life on the 7 August 1863 at Lerwick, Shetland, Scotland.
