Lorraine was born in 1915 with learning difficulties, which meant she remained at home with her parents until their passing, with her mother passing in 1959.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She was in turn looked after by Corstorphine House in Dunedin, which at that time, was run by Presbyterian Social Services Association which took the house over in 1957. Corstorphine House specialised in care for adult women with intellectual difficulties. Lorraine died in 1978 at the home.
