
Born 1845, Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland and was the eldest child and appears to have been named after her paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Ramsay nee Mason. Elizabeth emigrated to Australia with her parents on the ‘Garland’ in 1852.
Elizabeth married Joseph Fidler in 1868 in Melbourne, Australia.
The couple had 10 children, with 4 of them passing before Elizabeth. The following is a list of the children.

In Sept 1893, her husband assaulted her violently ending with him spending a week in jail on remand and her with 2 black eyes.
Joseph predeceased Elizabeth on the 30 Mar 1898.

Elizabeth died 30 Nov 1900 at Chapman Street, Melbourne. She is buried in Melbourne General Cemetery and as far as I can ascertain, the grave is not marked by any stone.
