Bob was born on the 20 February 1922 at Featherston in the Wairarapa, New Zealand.
He was a cheesemaker in the 1940s, then worked for the railways as a labourer.
In 1942 he married Elsie Hart and from that union arose 6 children. Many of the children are extant, so will not expand on them here.
Elsie died in 1986 and is buried in Archer Street Cemetery, alongside Robert, who passed away on the 17 September 1987 at Masterton, Wellington, New Zealand.
The couple is interred in the following Block. There is no headstone.
