Was born on the 13 Aug 1920 at Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand.
In 1926, Fred attended West Christchurch School, while living at 31 Smith Street.
Not sure what happened after his mother died, but in 1943, Fred married Betty Clarke. From that union stemmed 4 children, but 3 were still born with one child reaching adulthood and still living in Timaru.
Fred passed away on the 28 May 2005 at Timaru, South Canterbury, New Zealand and Betty 7 months later. Both buried at Timaru Cemetery.
