Isabella was born on the 23 March 1910 at the Catlins, Otago, New Zealand. She attended Kaiwaiwai School, Wairarapa 1916 and left for Featherson on the 30 March 1917.
At the age of 17, Isabella married Walter Henry Rees in 5 September 1927 at Featherston and from that union, 2 children were born.

Isabel and Walter divorced in 1943.
At some point between 1956 and 1963, Isabella married Ronald Neville Earnshaw. Ronald was a colourful character and the two photos below are from Police arrest records. Ronald was also a WWII serviceman and was a PoW during the war.
On the 11 May 1987, Isabel passed away at Taupo, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand and is buried in Taupo Cemetery RSA Cremation Plots, Plot 12.
