Polly married William Armes on the 8 April 1912 at Otepopo, Otago, New Zealand. There were no children from the union.
Polly was very academic and worked at the National Library.
William predeceased her and died in 1946 at Wellington and was cremated and the ashes placed in niche 31, Division C at Karori Cemetery.
Polly lived until the 30 June 1955 and she died at Porirua, Wellington, New Zealand. She was cremated and there is no memorial to her.
