Christina, born on the 27 August 1871 at East Taieri, Otago, and spent her life around Mosgiel.
She attended Mosgiel and then Cargill Schools before leaving to work at home at the age of 17 years old in 1888. Some of her earlier school records show her grandfather (Crawford) as guardian, which raises questions. We can conclude she had a complete education.
She married James Wilkie in 1900 and from that marriage, 4 children were born.

Christina passed away in 1963 aged 91. Both Christina and James lived long lives, with James passing in 1972 aged 97. The are interred at East Taieri Cemetery along with a son, Gordon who died as an infant, and a grandson, Albert, son of Christina Irene and her husband, Albert Thomson.
