Georgina “Jo” Chambers was born 27 May 1878 at Stafford, West Coast, New Zealand. Most of her life was enjoyed on the West Coast and in 1906 she married Henry Bruhn and from that marriage, a daughter, Bertha Metta Bruhn, born 1907. Bertha moved to the Waikato and died in 1982.
Henry predeceased Jo, passing in 1937 and Jo passing in 1950. Jo is buried in the Karoro Cemetery in Greymouth alongside her husband.
