HOSKIN

The name HOSKIN comes from Cornwall, England. In 1994, my mother Pat and I traveled all the way through Cornwall looking at some of the sites that gave rise to our Cornish side. KEAST, BRAY, LUGG and others contribute to that side of the family too. My Great Grandmother, Dorcas Elizabeth HOSKIN occupies a special place in memories as she is the only great grandparent I actually remember meeting.

This set of cups, saucers and jug are from the original Hoskin family that emigrated to New Zealand – that would be William Hoskin and Elizabeth Bray. This has been handed down the generations and now sits with my mother.
