The youngest child of Fleming and Elizabeth, sadly had a very short life. Arthur was born on the 4 November 1854 at Lerwick, Shetland, Scotland.
At some point in his eighth year, he contracted a fever that he could not overcome. The fever took his life on the 7 August 1863 at Lerwick, Shetland, Scotland. He died in the family home on Fort Charlotte and is buried along with his parents at First Lerwick Cemetery.
