Mavis Stark is the 10th child of James and Christina and was born on the 26 January 1913 at Gore, Southland, New Zealand.
At the age of 28, Mavis left home and married Gordon James Elder Craig.
The marriage resulted in 2 children.

According to family oral history, Mavis was a prankster and a little bit of a rebel. She was a great friend of Ken and his wife Jean.
Gordon was ran a grocers’ shop in Roxburgh and died in 1964. Mavis stayed on Roxburgh until around 1980, when she moved to Dunedin.
Mavis passed away on the 22 July 1996 at Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand and is buried in Roxburgh Cemetery alongside her husband.
