Was born at Tullylish, Down, Ireland around 1860. She arrived on the ‘Zealandia’ in 1862 as a 2 year old, so would likely have no memory of either Ireland or the voyage.
At Wellington on the 20 January 1887, Margaret married John McConaghty. The couple would spend the majority of there married life around the Managatainoka area inland from Pahiatua.

John passed away on the 11 June 1921 at Palmerston North, but his remains are in Mangatainoka Cemetery.
Margaret passed away on the 3 January 1942 at Mangatainoka and her remains are buried in Mangatainoka Cemetery alongside her husband.
