Frances was the oldest child of Enoch and Sarah Jane. She was born on the 18 September 1877 at New Brighton.

Frances married James Taylor in 1902 at Christchurch and from that union, the following family was born.
| Child | Born | Married | Children | Died | Comments |
| William John | 08 Oct 1903 | 1924/ 1946 | 2/ 9 | 17 Apr 1989 | Newfield/ Stewart |
| James Trivett | 27 Sep 1906 | 1937 | 1 | 11 Oct 1992 | Protheroe |
| Arthur George | 04 Feb 1912 | 1951 | 2 | 28 Sep 2000 | McKinnon |
Sadly, James passed away on the 15 February 1912 and his remains were buried in Halkett Cemetery, which is on the outskirts of Christchurch.

That would have been difficult managing 3 small children. That changed though, when in 1913, Frances married Lachlan John McInnes at Christchurch. Together they had the following family.
| Child | Born | Married | Children | Died | Comments |
| Jean Frances | 25 Dec 1913 | 1937 | 5 | 11 May 1990 | Worsfold |
| Lena Ada | 19 Aug 1915 | 1941 | 3 | 18 May 1987 | Painter |
| Hector Lachlan | 17 Jan 1917 | 1948 | 2 | 30 Apr 2008 | Johnston |
| Vera Catherine | 31 Jan 1926 | 1957 | 1 | 20 Jun 2016 | Barrett |
Sadly, Frances died relatively young aged 66 and her remains are buried in Springston Cemetery alongside many of her grandparents and wider family.

Her husband died 20 years later is not represented in the same grave.
