James appears to have worked for modern day Corrections and was resident along with Violet at “Borstal Farm” near Invercargill. Borstals were institutions where young (male) offenders were sent.
James passed away in 1975.
Violet passed away on the 29 March 1998 at Invercargill, Southland, New Zealand, aged 100 years and is buried alongside her husband in Eastern Cemetery, Invercargill, New Zealand.
