Was born on the 19 May 1910 at Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand
He attended Mangapapa School in Gisborne during his youth, before going on to High School.
Ernest spent almost all of his life as Fireman at Whanganui and Gisborne districts reaching Chief Fire Officer.
In 1932 he married Edith Laird and from that union, 4 kids were born. One of the children moved overseas and was documented living in Venezuela. I will not include the details of Ernest’s children until I have worked out where they all went.
On the 19 November 1994 passed away at Wanganui, Manawatu-Wanganui, New Zealand. His wife, Edith, passed away in 1996, also at Wanganui.
Both were cremated and there is no final resting spot for either.
