A disclaimer. Cecil George Stark was born to Rosina Cairns Stark – supported by his birth certificate. It is conjecture what happened immediately after his birth, but is appears he was placed for adoption and went into the care of Edith and Edward Laurie at Mataura.

George was born on the 25 October 1907 at Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand. He attended Mataura School in his youth.
Early in his working career, he was a clerk, but at some point became a machinist.
In 1928, Cecil married Violet Thomas. From that union, arrived 1 child.

Cecil died on the 25 June 1977 at Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand and his remains are buried at Andersons Bay Cemetery, Dunedin.
Violet passed away also in 1977 and is buried alongside Cecil.
